Fall Baseball at Redondo Sunset

Each fall, Redondo Sunset has limited access to the Alta Vista fields, as the permits are held by AYSO during the fall season. Because of this limited field availability, we are unable to offer our traditional recreational baseball program.
To continue providing baseball opportunities for our players, Redondo Sunset will field a limited number of Select Teams that will compete in the South Bay PONY Fall League.

• Pinto American
• Pinto National
• Mustang 9U
• Mustang 10U
• Bronco 11U
• Bronco 12U

Teams will practice at Alta Vista Park or Dominguez Park, while all league games will be played at the South Bay PONY fields in Manhattan Beach.

The South Bay PONY Fall League features elevated competition against Select, Travel, and All-Star caliber teams, providing an excellent developmental opportunity for players looking to continue competing during the fall.

Division Changes for Fall

Beginning September 1, the new PONY Baseball calendar year begins, and players move up to their next age division.
Example: A player who competed in Pinto National 8U during the Spring 2026 season will be eligible to play in Mustang 9U this fall.

Select Team Eligibility & Player Selection

Participation in the Fall Select Program is considered a privilege and is designed for players who are committed to continuing their baseball development.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible, players must:

• Have participated in Redondo Sunset’s 2026 Spring Recreational Baseball Season
• Complete the Fall Select Interest Form by the posted deadline
• Be willing to play for the manager selected for their division
• Please note that participation in previous Select or All-Star teams is not required, and roster spots are not guaranteed.

How Players Are Selected

Managers for each division will evaluate all interested players using a variety of factors, including:

• Spring season evaluations
• Previous coach feedback
• Coachability and attitude
• Commitment level
• Overall baseball ability
• Managers may also choose to conduct player tryouts as part of their evaluation process.

Because many families have additional commitments during the fall, players will also be asked to indicate their availability. Availability may influence roster sizes and final team selections.

Additional Information

A non-refundable participation fee will be required for players selected to a team.

Depending on player interest and available volunteer managers, Redondo Sunset may field multiple Select teams in certain divisions.

Team placement is determined solely by the division managers.
